Product & Candle Care
Our collections are crafted with thoughtful artistry, refined materials, and an unwavering attention to detail. To preserve their beauty and functionality over time, we recommend following the care instructions below. Proper care will help ensure your pieces remain timeless additions to your space—and using this guide responsibly helps ensure your safety and protection.
Candle Care
Each Anaïs Candle is thoughtfully handcrafted using high-quality materials to create both sculptural elegance and sensory warmth. Due to their artistic form and open flame, extra care must be taken to ensure safe and appropriate use.
Always place candles on a non-flammable, non-toxic, heat-resistant dish, tray, or liner to prevent melted wax from contacting your surfaces. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candles within sight at all times while lit. Keep candles away from curtains, draped materials, and all flammable or easily flammable fabrics. Do not use aerosols, sprays, or flammable vapors near any candle—lit or unlit. Keep all candles away from children, pets, and objects that generate airflow (such as hair dryers, fans, heaters, or air conditioning vents), as well as from natural conditions such as wind, high winds, or rain. We strongly recommend having a working, unexpired fire extinguisher and heat-protective gloves or high-temperature oven mitts on hand when handling any candles, whether lit or unlit.
Always place candles and products on a level and flat surface where they will not slip, slide, or fall, whether lit or unlit. Never place candles or products on the edges of surfaces where they can easily fall or be knocked over. Candles and wax may last for years when stored properly, especially if left unlit or only partially burned.
For container candles, we recommend burning no more than 1 to 2 hours at a time. For sculptural or non-container candles, we recommend burning for only a few minutes at a time to preserve their shape and design. Some container candles may be filled to the brim with wax and require extra care and caution to prevent spills. Allow wax to cool and re-set between burns.
Do not burn any candle to the bottom of the vessel. Discontinue use when approximately 1/2 inch (13 mm) of wax remains to prevent overheating or vessel breakage. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch (6 mm) before each use to avoid excessive flame or smoke. Allow candles to burn long enough on the first use to create a full melt pool to prevent tunneling.
Store candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or humidity to preserve both wax and fragrance.
Dinnerware Care
Our dinnerware pieces are made from ceramic, resin, and other fine materials. Each piece is a curated work of functional design and should be handled with care.
These items are not dishwasher safe. Use gentle handwashing only, with lukewarm water and mild, non-abrasive detergents. Avoid using abrasive sponges or fabrics. Use only soft microfiber cloths, or allow items to air dry. Do not use bleach or harsh cleaning agents.
Avoid exposing items to rapid or extreme temperature changes. For example, do not place items in a microwave if they have just come from the refrigerator, or vice versa. Sudden shifts in temperature can cause cracking, warping, or breakage.
Glassware and Drinkware Care
Our wine glasses, alcohol vessels, and other drinkware are crafted from glass, resin, and plastic. These materials combine durability with elegance and require gentle care.
All items are gentle handwash only. Do not place in the dishwasher. Use lukewarm water and gentle detergent, and avoid abrasive tools. Dry with a soft cloth or allow to air dry.
Like dinnerware, these items should not be exposed to sudden temperature shifts. Avoid placing in microwaves, ovens, or freezers after refrigeration, or vice versa, to prevent thermal shock and potential breakage.
Vase and Decorative Object Care
Our vases are designed to be both functional and decorative. However, not all vases are intended for use with water. Vases may not be waterproof. Please read the individual product description carefully. If waterproofing is not explicitly stated, assume the vase is decorative only and should not be filled with liquid.
Use a soft, dry or lightly dampened cloth to remove dust or smudges. Avoid soaking, submerging, or using chemical cleaners.
Leather and Fabric Care
Some items may contain natural leather or textiles. These materials require delicate maintenance.
Keep leather and fabric goods away from prolonged sun exposure, humidity, or direct contact with water. If dampened, blot gently (do not rub) and allow to air dry naturally. Clean only with suitable leather or fabric-specific products. Do not use alcohol-based or solvent-based cleaners. Avoid contact with rough surfaces that may scratch or pull delicate fabrics or grain.
Jewelry and Accessory Care
Our jewelry pieces are made to complement your everyday style and deserve thoughtful handling to retain their brilliance.
Clean using lukewarm water (no more than 30°C / 86°F). Do not soak. Avoid using brushes or rough cloths. Dry fully, then polish gently with a jewelry-specific cloth (preferably microfiber or jewelry-safe blend). If your piece includes organic elements such as pearls or natural stones, use plain water only and allow to dry fully.
Store each piece in its original pouch or box to avoid scratching. Do not store multiple pieces together to prevent abrasion. Apply perfume, lotion, or sprays before wearing your jewelry to avoid contact with chemicals. Remove jewelry before sleeping, bathing, or physical activity.

About Anaïs Candle
Anaïs Candle began as an artistic vision to blend the timeless beauty of European sculpture with the warmth and intimacy of modern home décor.
We actually love having unique pieces like these in our homes that fill any room with dreaminess.
We have spent years researching and refining the handcrafted candle-making process with local artists from New York to create the one-of-a-kind Anaïs Candle.
We chose all-natural, non-toxic ingredients in our candles despite the increase in complexity of our candle-making process, longer production time, and higher cost. Our candles don't give off toxic byproducts and heavy soot when lit.
During our journey to create Anaïs Candle, we knew we wanted to create unique pieces for your homes.
